Manjista potent blood purifier and acts mainly to eliminate the toxins and used as a rejuvenative
in pigment disorders of the skin and in general debility and also an immune regulator.
It supports the natural function of the lymphatic system allowing nutrition to feed the cells and
wastes to be removed from the body in an optimal fashion and regulates our immune system.
Manjista was held in the treatment of skin and blood diseases like erysipelas, eczema, acne,
scabies and allergic manifestations.
It is used to lower the blood pressure and supports heart health by vessel constriction and the
tendency of blood to form clots.
It is also anti-diabetic and useful in treating urinary calculi.
Effective on the female reproductive organs in treating various gynaecological problems, like white
discharge and irregular menstruation and improves the menstrual bleeding and relieves the pain in
dysmenorrhea. It stimulates and cleanses the uterus, so useful in oligomenorrhea and amenorrhea.

Description

It is considered to have a bitter taste and a cooling potency.It alleviates all the three doshas. According to bhava prakash,
manjistha is able to bind the free radical (amavisha) and xenobiotic (garavisha) toxins which cause inflammation (shotha),
skin disease (kushta), ulcers (vrana), among other problems. Charaka has categorized it as Varnya, Visaghna, Purisasangrahaniya – Sushruta has mentioned it as Pittasamsamana dravya. It is also a well known Rasayana, Three dosha samaka.Treats Kustha, Paandu, Yakritvikara, Jwara, Shotha, Swasa,Kasa.

Dosage : 1 to 2 tabs TID with lukewarm water, lukewarm milk, lemon water, honey, buttermilk or as directed by the Physician.
